Cave Light

Your door is closed
Shutting out the love
A wanderer in the valley
Searching for his dove.

Light laments the darkness
Feelings close to touch
Black and white are friends again
Nothing means that much.

Sunset casts a shadow
Stirring mind and soul
Night-time’s balm of tenderness
Appeasing earthly dole.

Morning’s scent of prospect
Moves your door ajar
Warm embrace and gentle touch
Journey home’s not far.

Entrance to the cave
Wide with warmth of glow
Gestures soothing transit
Where tendered hearts bestow.
